My name is Sarah. I'm a designer. I judge books by their covers and I mentally critique billboards when I'm bored in traffic. I believe that every problem has a solution if you know the right questions to ask and how to interpret the answers. I have a tendency to treat the world around me like a riddle, which is both entertaining and exhausting.
I spend a lot of time thinking about glaring societal problems. And then teasing apart solutions. And then realizing that every probable solution requires people. Lots of people. I mean, if you really think about it, we need a large portion of a population to be on the same page when it comes to solving social problems. We need to be having conversations and working together constantly to end discrimination. And child labor. And global warming. These are the thoughts that well up in my head until I start to feel sad and overwhelmed. So I take a nap. Then I pull myself together and scroll through Catchafire (if you don't know it, you should probably check it out) to see if maybe I can solve just one small problem. Because that's what I love to do. It's how I spend my days. So throw them at me. Your problems I mean. Or your projects. Or your hopes and dreams. It'll be fun. Together we've got great potential. And I want to see what we can make.
